HANOI DAY 2!
Its Day 2 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
We are slowly getting used to the enviroment and culture over there. The sun in Vietnam rises as early as 5am, and by 6am it hung brightly in the sky for us.
The hotel's breakfast was so-so. Warm milk tastes disgusting, but the chef's egg benedict is awesomeeeee! <:
Actually there's an internal 'conflict' on our group name, which is damn funny.
Plan B/Googirls?
So up till now, we are still Nameless. Hahaha!

Char bo!

Crossing Vietnam's roads for the FIRST time!
Damn exciting only. Some of the motorbikes doesnt care about humans one. Luckily our tour guide taught us how to cross safely over.
Couple of days later, we figured out that
"Just walk straight" is the best chance you got to cross the road safely. If you turn to look at the motorbikes, they will try to zoom pass you!

The church's oh-so-beautiful! I like.

The first stop on our agenda that day was
Hanoi's War Memorial
As Vietnam's a country that had experenced many wars with the Chinese, French and US, they have tons of war memorials littered around the country i think.
We couldnt take photographs inside the museum, so Canh became our photographer of the day.

But of course, illegial photo taking is always a better alternative.

After walking a little in the museum, we are starting to feel the heat man.
There's no aircon and only a couple of fans there, so our attention span was rather short as compared to the effort of searching for a nearby fan to cool ourselves down. Haha.
Vintage motorcar!
The space in the driver's seat is so punyyyyyy i wonder who can fit inside! But of course, Vietnamese can, since they had survived living under the ground for such a long time during the war. :/

Marcus like funny only.
HAHAHA.

Hello from the topppp!
Can you see 2 siao cha bors on the 2nd level?
Hahaha, yah. That's Xinying and I. Apparently they locked the door to go up the tower, so we are stuck at the 2nd level. Pfft.

After the war memorial, we headed over to
Temple of Literature
This temple used to be the first university for Vietnamese in the past. Scholars get their names carved on a plaque carried on by a stone turtle. It was a rather amazing place and its huge!

The layout of the entire temple!

Scary figurines. Imagine if you have the whole collection at home.
Giant bell!

Lunch at some local western restaurant after the tour. At first i thought we were going to have some traditional Vietnamese food, but who knows its actually a pizza restaurant!
Their drinks menu like cute only. Hahaha!
Just imagine ordering them.
"Can i have Beautiful Love?"
"Yes. Anything else?""Oh, i want LU4EV!!"

As we still have some time before meeting our first company of the day with Cherie's Hearts International, Canh bought us to visit a Chinese pagoda near the West Lake in Hanoi.

From far, it looks quite majestic eh.
But the walls are ALL nearly covered with flying insects! Like wtf. They even have cemetaries inside.

Loving the trip yo!

On our way again to the company......
Along the way, i saw alot of slums and wondered who will want to set up a preschool here considering the income of the people nearby.
When i reached Cherie's Hearts, i was so surprised, because the entire building looks somewhat like a kingdom amidst the slums!

Jean and Bee Ling introducing our group to the owners of Cherie's Hearts International (Vietnam).

Getting ready to take down notes, photos and ask questions!

After the Q&A session, we had a company tour around their building. It was awesomeeeeee!
Look at these photos and tell me how can it not be:

Queuing up to use the bathroom.
HAHAHA!

After the whole tour, we headed back to our hotel to wash up and prepare for the networking dinner with
Singapore Business Association of Vietnam.
Wah, freaky leh. I'm never good at networking sessions.
The venue for our networking dinner:

The guests who hadnt arrived yet.
Exciting much!

Dongs with one of the guests.

Us in our blazers!
Mine's a tad too long, makes me look like i'm not wearing a skirt. Hahaha.

The session was soooooooo long!
I think it took around 4hours? We didnt had enough time to mingle with all the guests, but only 2. They are really friendly, and they told us quite alot of about their businesses here in Vietnam.

Totally zonk-ed out after reaching the hotel.
Fell asleep while watching Star Golden Bell with Jo just 15mins through the show.
Hahaha, power.
Tell me to stop. 10:37 PM
